From this comes El Alma al Aire, the ambitious musical production that aims to celebrate the impact that the world of Alejandro Sanz has had on audiences. A unique experience in Madrid that transforms iconic songs from his career —such as El Alma al Aire, Cuando nadie me ve, Amiga mía, Corazón partío and No es lo mismo— into a luminous, moving and life-filled story.
Produced by Stage Entertainment España, the company behind major hits such as The Lion King, Anastasia, TINA and Aladdin, this is the first original musical blockbuster fully developed by the production company in Spain. With the support of Alejandro Sanz himself and a script by two-time MAX Award winner Álvaro Tato, the musical blends local realism and magical realism, inviting us to leave our worries behind and reconnect with what truly matters: living.
El Alma al Aire takes us to a small fishing village where characters from different generations face decisions that will shape their destinies. This ensemble story, full of life and intertwined emotions, follows Ale, a young and highly talented musician who, together with his family and his friend Bruno, witnesses how the arrival of Alma —a Madrid-based real estate developer who settles in the village with her two daughters— disrupts the balance of the community.
With a spectacular stage design that blends with avant-garde elements, Alejandro Sanz’s songs, performed live, come to life and invite us to celebrate the value of roots, friendship, music… and the almost magical power of the southern wind.
