After three decades of electrifying stages and speakers with his searing, supple guitar playing, soulful vocals, and cultured songcraft, Stacy Mitchhart is set for his biggest album to date.
Due this winter, the 17th full-length from this revered Tennessee blues troubadour is produced by multiple Grammy winner Tom Hambridge (Buddy Guy, George Thorogood, Susan Tedeschi etc.) and features Gretchen Wilson, Kenny Neal, and Charlie Musselwhite.
āI wanted to work with an outside producer for the purpose of creating a fresh sound,ā explained Mitchhart from his Nashville home. āI also wanted to collaborate with artists/friends that I truly admire, while continuing to cowrite new original music.ā
Anticipation is high for Mitchhartās latest work, with Music City Bluesletter noting that he ājust keeps getting better with each releaseā and Jazz Times dubbing him āa dynamic triple threat on the contemporary blues scene.ā The as-yet untitled new record will be released by Los Angeles label Forty Below Records.
āIt was a priority to partner with a well respected blues record label to put the record out,ā said Mitchhart. āIām honored to become a part of the Forty Below Records family!ā
