The Victoria Theatre was opened on June 10, 1916, built according to plans of architect Joseph Espelius. For the opening, presided over by King Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia, the work chosen " El capricho de las damas".
The facade is one of the most unique theaters of Madrid, with stained glass windows and mosaics Maumejean Talavera. Holds over 600 spectators. From the original decoration of the interior is not any evidence. About the stalls is a skylight in its early years was opened to ventilate the room.
During the Second Republic was called simplementeVictoria and in October 1936 it was renamed the playwright Joaquin Dicenta.
